Baking Chrsitmas Cookies...

Amelia was a great helper when we were making Christmas cookies this weekend! Her favorite part was using the rolling pin to get the dough flat. She did a great job - and now we have lots and lots of pigs and ducks for Christmas cookies.

First Dentist Visit

Amelia was a really good girl at the dentist. She sat really still and let the hygenist clean her teeth. She got to pick out a new toothbrush and a toy when she was done.

1. I love to bake at Christmas time. I would love to take a week off and do nothing but bake this time of year. I just love it - especially my grandma's sugar cookie recepie, and her molasses cookies, and rosettes - oh, and pecan bars too... see what I mean?

2. I sucked my thumb until 5th grade.

3. I am terrified of snakes - seriously petrified. I completley freaked my husband out the first time we were together when a snake crossed my path.

4. I have been mostly caffine free for more than a year. Anyone who knew me before can attest to the magnitude of this.

5. I am a complete and total klutz and I have the bruises to prove it.

6. I could not live with out spell check.

Burlington Holiday Parade

It was only about 30 degrees for the parade today - but Amelia loved it anyway. The rest of us froze. She did a great job waving at everyone. She was on the float from 9am until almost noon by the time they finally made it to the end.

The older dancers looked so cold in their outfits. No one expected the cold snap we've had lately.

Yep... this really is NC. I've never seen snow in November here.

OK - so it's not much snow... but this is about all we ever get.

Amelia got her christmas present from Mamaw & Poppi a little early this year. They gave her a slide to go on her swing set. We just couldn't pass up the beautiful fall day a few weeks ago. And it was a huge hit! It's been windy and rainy ever since but that first day was perfect. We spent most of the day outside playing.
